Cubic is a sculptural doorstopper inspired by the Bauhaus era, as it plays with the primary
geometric shapes of a rectangle and a circle. It is a playful homage, but is at the same time
elegant and minimalistic. Cubic was designed for the 8th design competition of Viefe.

The materials were chosen by sustainable aspects, that’s why the natural material wood is the main material of the components. The primary colours of Bauhaus were replaced by natural woods to avoid a non sustainable coloration by lacquers and to make it more suitable for any room.
To ensure the door is protected, the globe is made of black silicone and is glued by an adhesive on the wooden cube. Two different woods were chosen; a bright option (pine wood) and a darker
option (walnut).
