Pips are handmade salt and pepper shakers with a playful appearance and designed to resemble a bird-alike figure. The organic and curved shape create an interesting play of shadows in the shiny glaze.
The body is hand-carved in plaster and cast in plaster as a negative mold. The negative mold is used as a hollow casting mold, so that liquid porcelain flows in and out again. The finished porcelain bodies are biscuit-fired and smooth-fired.
